As Ethereum (ETH) approaches its 10th anniversary, blockchain company Consensys says Ethereum is entering a new phase as a “Trustware” infrastructure.
Consensys chief strategy officer Jason Linehan said in a recent interview that Ethereum has evolved beyond a smart contract platform into a foundational layer for verifiable, programmable trust in financial systems and beyond, which he called “Trustware.”
Stating that Trustware is the next identity of Ethereum, Linehan stated that ETH will become the digital trust infrastructure for the global economy.
Noting that the ETH network is widely used in stablecoins, tokenized assets, DeFi, and rollups, Linehan said, “Trustware is a new way of talking about the value that Ethereum brings to the economy.”
Jason Linehan also made a price prediction for Ethereum based on the cost-to-corruption model.
According to this model, Linehan predicts that the ETH price will reach $4,900 by the end of 2025 and $15,800 by 2028.
Linehan also said that the model predicts $1 trillion in stablecoins, $500 billion in tokenized real-world assets (RWA), and $300 billion in total value locked (TVL) by 2028, and that these figures remain conservative.
The famous name finally stated that Ethereum will change the future of finance, saying, “The future will not be like the past… It will be an economy like we have never seen before, and it will destroy everything we have today. Ethereum makes this possible.”
